2026 Amherst-Wisconsin Youth Football & Cheer - Fall 2026
Amherst-Wisconsin Youth Football and Cheer Program for Ultimate Flag Football (grades 3rd and 4th for the 2026/2027 school year), Tackle Football (grades 5th and 6th for the 2026/2027 school year), and Cheer (grades 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th for the 2026/2027 school year). The season starts in early August and runs to about mid-October.
Practice for Ultimate Flag and Tackle will be 4 evenings per week for two hours during August, and only 2 evenings per week for 1.5 hours during school months. Practice days and times TBD based on coaching availability. .
Helmets, jerseys, pants with pads, shoulder pads, flags, and mouth guards are provided by the organization.
Games start mid-August and are played on Saturdays only. Games times range from 9 am to 7 pm. Home games are played at our Amherst Heartland Farm Field and away games are at various area districts.
Coaches this year will have to do the USA football certification training. There is currently an online option. The cost will be reimbursed to the coaches by the football league.
